Our Story — Heritage & Craftsmanship
Born in the heart of Jaipur, India's Pink City, Jaipur Brand bridges centuries-old Rajasthani craftsmanship with contemporary design. Our journey began with a simple belief: that the extraordinary artistry of Jaipur's master craftsmen deserves a global stage.
The Art of Block Printing
Sanganer and Bagru block printing are two of Jaipur's most celebrated textile traditions. In Sanganer, artisans create delicate floral motifs on fine cotton and silk, using bright, vibrant colours derived from natural sources. Bagru printing, by contrast, employs bold geometric patterns and earthy indigo and ochre tones, using a resist-printing technique perfected over 300 years.
Our master printers hand-carve teak wood blocks with intricate patterns — some blocks taking weeks to complete. Each stamp is pressed by hand, requiring extraordinary precision. A single saree may require over 500 individual impressions.
Our Artisans
We work directly with over 200 artisan families across Jaipur, Sanganer, and Bagru. Many of these families have practised their craft for five or more generations. By partnering directly, we ensure fair wages, dignified working conditions, and the preservation of techniques that might otherwise be lost to industrialisation.
Natural Dyes & Sustainable Practices
Traditional Jaipuri textiles use dyes derived from pomegranate rinds, indigo leaves, turmeric, and marigold flowers. These natural dyes are not only environmentally friendly but also develop a richer patina over time, making each piece more beautiful with age. We are committed to sustainable production methods that respect both people and planet.
From Jaipur to the World
What began as a small collective in Jaipur's old city has grown into a brand that ships to over 50 countries. Yet every piece still passes through the hands of our master artisans, ensuring the authenticity and quality that define Jaipur Brand.
